Name: Martin Fenton III
Business: Insurance Broker – Pipeline Insurance Agency
Website: www.coronadoinsurancebroker.com
YOUR BUSINESS
Please describe your business: Insurance Services to “Protect Your Success”. Insurance has become very complicated. I provide a service to allow clients to make educated decisions.
What do you think makes your service special? As an insurance broker we have access to over 40 different companies and can design a plan to meet your personal & commercial needs.
What service would you recommend to a first-time client? A current insurance policy review. Life changes & so do your insurance needs. My job is to make sure you are properly insured at all stages of life.
Is there anything people would be surprised to learn about your business? Contrary to all the advertising you see & hear, insurance companies are focused on serving specific markets. “One Size Does Not Fit All!”
YOUR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
What do you hope to achieve by joining the Coronado Chamber of Commerce? I hope to work with the Chamber and its members to promote the continued growth & vitality of Coronado. Coronado is a unique community and it requires the dedication & devotion of the whole community to keep it special. In this regard, the Chamber is ideally qualified to help Coronado find a balance to promote the growth of the community without losing its charm.
YOUR CORONADO LIFE
How would you describe life on Coronado Island? Unique!!! A small town offering a tranquil lifestyle just across from a vibrant city. A place to relax while offering a multitude of activities on and off the island. A chance to create memories with your family & neighbors while at the same time meeting people from all over the world. Most importantly, it’s my home.
What is the best thing about doing business in Coronado? Knowing people on different levels. As a business owner, a community member, a parent, a neighbor, a friend. When doing business in Coronado, you know you are working with people who care about the community.
Where do you take visitors and what do you tell them about Coronado?
The list is endless but includes:
The History: The Town, The Del, The Bridge, Orange Ave & of course The Wizard of OZ
The Architecture: Old & New, Big & Small, Homes & Buildings and of course the gardens.
The Events: 4th of July, Christmas Parade, Skating at the Del, Concert in the Park, The Flower Show, MainStreet Car Show, Memorial Day in Star Park, The Coronado Film Festival…
And of course, the beach.
Is there anything else you would like your fellow Chamber members to know about you? As well as being a 19-year resident of Coronado, I have been fortunate enough to have lived in or visited over 40 different cities, 30 states & 20 countries in my life. (Japan was the most interesting country to live in. Tibet had the biggest impact. But the country with the most stories was Egypt!) But nothing compares to the people, the place & the community of Coronado. When people ask me, “How are you today?”, I say… “Everyday I wake up in Coronado is a great day!”
Thanks for chatting Martin! See you at the next Mixer for stories from Egypt and beyond!
